I had my oil catch pan over flow a few years ago, and put probably a gallon of 15W40 out of my diesel pick up onto the driveway. Those with diesels know the oil is very black and stains that much worse than other motor oil.
I did a rigorous routine of kitty litter to absorb as much as I could immediately, followed by dawn dish soap and a scrub brush, followed by the Purple Power Concrete cleaner. I did that for probably a week straight and finally got it to where it didn't look like the birthmark on Gorbachev's forehead. |

Pour gasoline on the spot. No shit it works. Not right in front of your eyes but a few days later it will be gone. My ex father in law used to leave oil spots in my DW all the time. This was how I made them go away.

I use a solvent like paint thinner to liquefy the stain then use oil absorbent to lift it out. Leave the absorbent on the stain for a couple of days and sweep it around with a broom so fresh absorbent can suck up the oil. It really works quite well.
