[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How many of you rarely spend time outdoors?

I grew up spending 90% of my time outside, now I either sleep all day, or sit inside on my days off.
I'm trying to work on getting back into outside stuff, but I'm just to damned tired or bored most of the time.

I've noticed that when I'm too bored to go outside, just going and being in the sun a little while helps me be less bored and more active. i think its something to do with vitamin D levels. To start, just try sitting outside in the sun and reading a book. You'll probably find yourself wanting to be outside more and doing more after a little while

When the weather is nice, everyone goes outside and it is crowded as fuck. I have to drive about 2 hours to find someplace nice and quiet. I rarely bother doing that.

I work outside, and the family and I spend as much time outside as possible. We get antsy being stuck in the house.

I work outside about 90% of the time, i tend so spend a lot of weekends relaxing inside. I enjoy hanging outside in the evenings during the summer after it cools off.

Yep, mon~fri I get home tired. Sat I sleep most of the day, rarely change out of my PJ's. Sun I try to get some household chores and laundry done and prepare for the next week.

I don't get as much time outside as I would like. Grad school will do that to you. I make up for it by keeping my window open whenever I'm home - even the fresh air goes a LONG way to feeling refreshed.

I get impatient, fidgety, and moody if I spend more than a few hours at a time inside. My wife can attest to this, drives her crazy.

I love being outside, doesn't matter what I am doing.

Fresh air, sunlight, and guns are the primary reasons why I moved to AZ. I work indoors and travel a lot. I wish I could spend more time outdoors than I do now.

I had to chuckle. My Dad was in the second World War. He never was much on camping and when asked why he replied with something about water in foxholes, shelter halves, and being cold.

Maybe his way of saying 'fuck that shit'.
