The British police are so unbelievably upside down....whatever policy they adopt you can bet will be ridiculous and soft on offenders while punishing victims. They're really hopeless and a wonderful example of what NOT to do in this country.

I heard on one of the ______ Channels, like History or Learning, etc. that they now do want to be armed. Without the safe in the trunk that the captain or equivalent having to come on seen to unlock it for use of the weapon. Hmm... I wonder why they're called subjects in Britain. The people, that is.

One of my nieces is married to a Scottish guy who used to work for the police in London. He says that they have wanted to carry guns for years.
