Meaning, it will record video files that are 10 minutes duration until the card is full, and then stop recording.

How large (how many GB) a card will your camera use?  That info should be in the specifications section of the manual.

OK, I also use a 32 gig card in my Cobra CDR-840, because it is the max it will accept.

With that card, I get about 4 hours of recording before it starts to overwrite the oldest file.

If you have a cam with a shock sensor, it will have the capacity to lock the file it is recording when an event happens, such as a collision, or if you push the little "Lock" button that most cameras have.

With that setup, there's no reason not to let it loop the recordings and run over the oldest files.

What brand and model of cam are you using?

That is actually a really nice camera, with good specs.  It should serve you well, and without breaking the bank.

Uniden is one of the big names in the mobile electronics biz, so any warranty issues should be handled well, if it comes to that.

I think you probably chose well.

Putting this in your work truck, or POV?

Cheap insurance to cut through the he-said-she-said that sometimes happens after an accident.

Good job.

Anymore, when I'm in a car without, I feel very uneasy.
