In an unrelated incident, an NYPD Traffic Agent was arrested in Queens for attacking his girlfriend, cops said.

Also, A cop who has spent 16 years fighting crime in Queens found himself behind bars Saturday on domestic abuse charges, officials said.

Police Officer Richard Phipps, 42, was charged with assaulting and choking his wife in front of the couple’s teenage child at their Jamaica home about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

His wife was not seriously hurt, cops said.
