Shitbag... "Ferry was known for being combative with police and had a criminal history that landed him in the county jail more than three dozen times."

I've got friends that worked with him in the department.

I used to do fire and EMS in the area and that is a very tight community of first responders.  No one will be over this, ever.

I guess I don't understand this whole idea of "Crime Management" that seems to be the de jour of places these days.  Three dozen times in jail?  And he is out running around?

Lots of the same where I live.

Single round of .380 underneath the vest, from a perp that had been tased 5 seconds earlier.

MMQB says should have tackled him before he could draw, or just tried to talk him down. I like Seaside a lot; used to shoot fireworks on the beach after dark there... but it attracts some weird characters. At least the scumbag died, but it wasn't worth the life of a good cop.
