But I can't think of anything that I should get.

Give me your idea on something that might be useful.

Start with a quality ruk sack. Then get a decent sleeping bag.
The rest is optional.

Kestrel Drop. Haven't tried one yet but looks like a nifty little gadget for shorter trips. Requires bluetooth to cellphone to download the data.

Your canoe should have depth charges. They would enhance your watery experience.

Try to find one of these. Can't have mine.

I have the down (vs. synthetic) version and it's great but it's not exactly compact.  I use it in single digit weather, for warmer conditions I'm back to a Thermarest NeoAir.

Excellent recommendation.  I brought two with me on my last trip.  A cheapie and another one that I bought later because I wasn't confident in my cheapie.

Good thing because the cheapie died.

1. Yeti brand cozy for your beer right here.

2. Cold Steel Throwing Tomahawk

3. Jetboil Zip.

I've never had a bad camping trip with the above three.

That's funny.  I've been putting a design together in my noggin for a small camp table for the last day or so.  I think I'm going to start putting it together this weekend.

How long does one of those 100g fuel canisters last on one of those things?  How do they fair in windy conditions?

You got the basics? And you're canoe camping? then this thing is what you seek:  Helinox Beach Chair.

Beach Chair

It's only  a couple of lbs, it folds up tiny, about the size of say three softballs in a line.  It's strong as hell, I'm 350 an it holds me fine.  it's fast and easy to fold up and unfold.   For canoe camping it's perfect. I use it motorcycle camping.  It is also tall in the back so you have a nice headrest.

I have the helinox chair one and it's ok, but the lack of neck rest makes it kinda uncomfortable.  Perfect for kicking back in camp after a day in an upright canoe seat.

I don't have that exped, I have the size one down from that, but I just tested and bought this from cabelas for motorcycle camping:

Cabelas XPG sleeping pad it's SUPER comfortable, has "wings" on the side to keep you centered on the pad, and I can lay on my side and not bottom out, I'm 350lbs so I should.  It also rollls up to the size of a beer can.  Very nice pad.

very cool, the vagina chair!  Interesting idea...

OP: I'd also suggest hammock camping in a canoe.

double wide hammock

get some hammock straps, some paracord, and a tarp to cover it and some smal stakes to tie down the corners and you'll sleep like a  BABY. I switched to hammock camping on my deer hunt last year,  I'll never sleep on the ground again. I sleep better on the hammock than I do in my bed.
