I'm going to take a chance and go with not guilty on this one.

Well, he was of legal age to consent, so it should probably remain an issue between her and her employer. And she should probably lose whatever teaching credentials she had or was working toward.
Still pretty skeevy, though. |

Did these things happen 20-25 years ago? I certainly don't recall anything like student/teacher relations happening when I was in school during that time. There were rumors about one girl and a teacher, but it wasn't founded in truth.
Over the last 15 years or so, it seems this mental illness is becoming increasingly common. It is a disturbing trend. |

Some more news about this...
She went to that high school, and I graduated with her in 2008. I never talked to her I'm pretty sure she was a quiet kid. |

View Quote Many, many years ago, teaching was a profession for people who actually wanted to be educators. Women who had few (if any) career aspirations married and stayed at home, taking care of their husbands and children. Now, everyone is told they need a college degree and career, and teaching is one of the easiest degrees and career fields to get into. The people who can't be bothered to pursue a more rigorous career field fall back to teaching, whereas before, they would have just gotten married and been housewives. Now given, there are still educators who got into the field because they truly wanted to teach, but they are no longer as common as they once were. Correlation or causation? Not entirely sure, but I think it may at least be a contributing factor. |

Some of you people make me sick to my stomach.
This devious pedophile should be locked away for life. She used her power to corrupt this young child into sex. |

My French teacher got knocked up by one of her students. No police involved, however. After he graduated, he married her. |

Yeah, it sure did, we just didn't have The Internet to let us know of every case across the nation. My French teacher got knocked up by one of her students. No police involved, however. After he graduated, he married her. Yep. I graduated early May of '90, randomly ran into my hot 24 year old math teacher at a concert a hundred miles away from where I went to school/lived in mid-May and it was the whole "Hey you!" thing. I didn't turn 18 until the first part of June. What happened? A gentleman never tells, I'm no gentleman but I won't either, but had anything happened I was already out of school (even if just shy of legal) and no tears, lawyers or babies ensued; no one was ever the wiser of anything that may, or may not, have happened. Hell I looked older than I was, and she looked younger, if anyone saw us together and was told one of us taught the other in school they would have gotten which was which backwards most likely. I'm sure that wasn't a unique thing for the time, the difference is people didn't run around advertising to the whole planet (literally) every random thought that popped into their head or everything they do every day, 24/7. Thank God social media didn't exist when I was in HS and college. |
