7 so far today. 6.1,6.0 and 5 other in the 4's.  The rim is quite active, this isn't good.

You  can't really  count a 6 pointer as  " EarthQuake".
Feels about like a  small  bulldozer rumbling near the house.
Unless you are sitting in a quiet,   rigid framed building, you'd hardly notice.

A big deal in a  multi-story  stone or masonry  building, granted.

Only one I've ever been in I didn't notice until it was pointed out.  Felt and sounded like a truck driving by outside and that's what I thought it was.

Oddly enough, it won't be Cali that gets that big of a quake,  Northern Oregon, Washington, B.C. and Alaska are at most risk for a mega-quake.

Cali might get the tsunami created by a Cascadia Subduction Zone mega-quake, though.

I've been in several, and never noticed them.  If you look at the USGA website, they have a tool that shows all geological activity.   Apparently I've experienced several earthquakes  I've not even been aware of.

we have daily micro quakes within 50 miles of here,  had a 7.1 a month ago, about 25 miles away.
Curiously it did not knock anything  down in my buildings.  I had some batteries stacked 4 high, they did not  fall down, which could have been messy.

a few friends nearby had  there shelves emptied, and cabinets opened up, pictures knocked off walls, etc.

Liquor stores had some breakage.

the smaller after shock quakes are working on already weakened structures. Where they may not have  been that bad if thats all they had felt there.  Now the weak links could topple.

I am guessing people are only thinking in Moment Magnitude Scale.  There is the JMA Shindo scale, IE

JMA Shindo explained here

Recently looks like this

I would not worry about California. They will pass a law outlawing earth quakes and Jerry Brown, Jr.will sign it.
