In regards to Castro, my folks always say: Hierba mala nunca muere!

Translation: Weeds never die.

Was talking with my dad on Sunday. It was the 55 year anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion. My old man was part of a team on the Island that was waiting for the CIA sponsored group, Brigade 2506 to land on the beach. He was captured & imprisoned for two weeks & two of his friends were executed. Luckily, he was let go because of a clerical error. He left Cuba the next day, without telling my grandmother & never returned, as he was scared they would eventually find him. He was only 17. To this day, he remembers perfectly how he left his room.

55 years later & he still get's very emotional. He's 72 years old, & he's told me a few times in the past that he hopes that Castro dies before him.
