If they sell it as an AR15 (parts kit) and send it through the mail, it's entrapment.  If you sought someone out to sell it to you like that, then there would be a case.

A DPMS Pre-Ban lower???

I believe most, if not all, DPMS prebans are cast - not forged.

And it can still be a preban lower when sold with the collapsible stock attached.

But on another note, this definitely sounds like a criminal sale's pitch.

By "criminal sales pitch" do you mean a criminal doing the sale, or an ATF trap?

BTW, Nice new avatar.

... Just a thought, but the ATF is scurrying to justify their existence these days.

Interesting dilemma...on one hand, are we not morally obligated to warn the bidders? On the other hand, I'm probably not alone in not wanting to associate my name with this auction in any way, shape or form.

Any thoughts? I don't think we can count on eBay cancelling the auction --- I've seen much worse go by unnoticed.

I say don't interfere with the transaction.  If it's not being tracked by Feds, it will just go through with no problems.

Are 'peices' NFA regulated?  I can't remember.

Also, 1/19 twist???  I guess that the 'crome' bbl come in that twist...

TS,

Thanks. I was leaning that way myself. Think I'll just sit back and watch Darwin work.

The seller's probably not going to endear many folks with that "187" reference in his eBay ID, either....

Edited to add: I'm a dumb ass, should have read all the posts here first

Well, admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery.  [:D]

Just kidding, we all have brain-fades from time to time.
