At least 2 sides to this story. Yes, it was written as satire and may have addressed the assignment. However, it also probably straddled the line to offensive. If that's all it was - who cares? But it wasn't just sent in as an assignment - it was shared on social media. So as long as the student was trying to get people talking, that part worked.

When I was in middle school some sick bastard wrote out "FUCK YOU" in fecal matter (6-7 inch lettering) on one of the stall doors. The entire school had to come into the hallway, stand in a line, and have their hands inspected. The admin was looking for "evidence", because the school district said that the school had to sanitize every door handle and locker face in the entire school, s they could charge the cost to the parents of the kid. They did the same thing with a fire alarm pull. The kid that did it had that UV ink on his hands and washed it off. The FD came in and brought a UV light and went down the line of students in the hallway until they found him. IIRC that cost his parents around $600 and that was in the mid 90's. |
