Every time I go to the range I go with the intention of working on my accuracy, but I'm like that damn owl licking the tootsie-pop, 1, 2, 3, BAM BAM BAM BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM.  My holes end up on the paper, but it's nothing to be pround of. I just can't muster up the patience to do it right.

Anyone else a rapid-fire junkie?

Yes, but we have a cure for it at our club,,, steel plate shoots. [BD]
I've got a couple of match rifles and go prone and shoot long range when I feel like it.

Buy a bolt gun, that will slow you down.

Bolt rifles slow me down BIG TIME because I shoot left-handed.  Haven't ever tried a LH bolt rifle.  I shot them for several years before coming to the conclusion that God intended for me to own and shoot semiautos.  Except an AR-15 with an M16A1 upper.  (The ejected brass hits my head a lot.)

Owl that can't get to the center...  lol!

Me too.  I have a varminter AR, I can never manage to shoot more than a few 5-shot groups before it's rapid fire time!

And I am pretty damn fast operating the bolt on a Czech Mauser!  [:D]

7mm Rem Mag bolt. If it doesn't give you a nose-bleed to shoot it, it's just another .308

Well, if you really want to avoid rapid fire, just put an empty mag in and load single shots.  Can't fire too fast that way.
