Went to pick up two small spotted pythons from someone. They would be pets for my kids as we keep snakes.
Got home and realized the container they were in had a flap opened and both were gone. Found one under the passenger seat almost immediately. Other one is nowhere to be found.. This is a work car that I sometimes have "guests" in. Now I have a small 16" python camping out in it. Hope I find it before someone else does.... |

I thought this was going to be a "sex in the backseat" thread...
Carry on... |

Burn it in place. Then crush with a dozer. Then burn it again.

View Quote I don't have much of an aversion to snakes, but I think I might have unassed that bike at speed. That guy handled the situation well. |

I just took the back seat out and EVERYTHING out of the trunk.
No snake. I work in 4 hours...... |

Could you lure it out with a heating pad or something warm in a relatively cool vehicle?

Reminds me of the story years ago about a herpetologist that was taking a cobra to the Bronx Zoo. It got loose in his car and he never found it.

Lots of good ideas here but unfortunately it's warm out and my car is in the sun. I don't think I can cool it down enough.
If it doesn't crawl up my leg while at work tonight(best case scenario) I may try a heat light or heat pad on floorboard overnight with a hide box or something. Should get interesting. |

Call Mr. Wolf. He's good with getting unwanted creatures out of the car.

You should have gotten them a puppy or kitten. View Quote Good Idea! That snake will get hungry. |

Make a warm spot. Next thing you know, snake will be curled up on or in it.

I lost a ball python for a month once. Found him under the oven.

Check inside the rails of the seats, check where seats can fold down to give access to the trunk, check up under the dash. I've had snakes get into all of those places :-) (usually the seat frames). Took a road trip with a bunch of friends once, one of the friends in the other car had his adult ball python with him, it got loose on the drive. The friend we were going to stay with looked out his window in the early morning hours where they were disassembling the interior of that Ford Taurus trying to find the snake :-)
