It's a cliche but, "It's not about guns, it's about control." Most of them are useful idiots who don't know any better but the one's at the top, and even most of the idiots if they were honest about it, are anti-gun simply because we are pro-gun. Hell, many of them own guns themselves and just don't want us commoners to have them. By attacking the guns they are attacking us. That simple.

They think government is the solution to all social problems.
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer? Well, that's not fair. Tax the rich, give it to the poor. Someone killed someone else with a gun? Well, ban the guns. Then they can't kill. It's so simple. Some rednecks beat up a black guy because he's black? Make it illegal to do so. Problem solved. More white people get into law school than black people? That's not fair. Make it easier for black people to get in at the expense of better qualified white applicants. See? Racism is defeated. Can't you see our logic? If not, you're a moron right wing hatemonger. |

Not all Democrats hate guns. But the ones that do really just hate Republicans. They think that gun owners are all Republicans so they will do anything they can to annoy and attack their "enemy". The same thing happens going the other way. Some Conservatives think all environmentalists are liberals.

I think it's 50% ignorance too...Those things go BANG and it scares people. Those things kill people in many accidents so they don't want to touch them for fear of them going off because they don't know how to use it. Don't play cowboys and indians or cops and robbers because you teach your child to kill..Why kill Bambi when you can go to the store and buy some. Afterall, you're killing a living thing when you kill Bambi...
I had a friend who was in Mogadishu (sp) prior to Blackhawk Down as an Embassy Marine. He told me he would never take up arms in defense of America again... I was in a gun shop the other day and the owner is trying to sell so she can move to Germany. She told me she doesn't have a problem leaving her guns at a range locked up and not bringing them home where they can be stolen... The other 50% just don't care about anyone but themselves. They're not "into" guns so who cares? It's not their thing...(This also goes for the hunters who could care less about the AWB because the gov't wasn't taking away scoped rifles) Most liberals I know are very selfish people with agenda's that suit THEIR wants and needs. I refuse to argue with them anymore. |

Because:
Believing as they do in a collective, rather than individual, model of rights, they don't believe an individual has the right to defend himself against another individual or the all-knowing State. They don't believe in individual responsibility. They know that, as an emotional issue, it's a great way to drive people (especially mothers) into their fold. They know that an armed population is the biggest threat to THEIR plans. They know that removing an individual's ability to defend himself is a GREAT way of showing them who's boss. ....oh, yeah, because they're a bunch of PUSSIES, too! |

I think we must know the enemy in order to defeat the enemy. Personally I think that all these statements about how the Democrats want to disarm the populace so we can all be slaves it a bit far fetched (I know you will disagree , but since neither one of us can prove our point lets not get into it). I see alot of the Dems know they can score points with a "gun control" agenda , the movies and media have everyone so misinformed about firearms its easy to make it int a "problem" that they politiions have an "answer" for. Remember, no matter what the numbers say about 50% or whatever Americans owning guns a vast majority could really care less to what the laws are. The people , like us , who actually have guns as a "passion" and do stuff like keep up on laws make up probably 5% or less of the total populace of the U.S.

In order to be a Democrat you have to fully support everything that party stands for.
Democrats today are a group of diverse members of the left. Each grouping within the party has its own agenda: 1. Pro abortion (sometimes called woman's rights) 2. Pro Homos (sometimes called privacy) 3. Pro welfare (core voters) 4. Pro minority (black, Mexican, non-citizens, give them whatever they want and they will vote for your party) 5. Anti gun If you are a democrat you have to, and I mean have to, support all 5, no matter what you actually think. That is the backbone rule of the party. Locally a long time local Republican wanted to run for state office, but the GOP party told him he had to wait for the next cycle. He talked to the Dems who told him he could run, but he would have to accept all 5 positions publically as the cost of jumping. He did so, and it cost him the election because of number 1, above. (Voter: "Hey, he seems like an okay guy, but wasn't he pro-life last month?") Dems have the internal will and power to force their members to toe the line on all their issues. Where the GOP allows honest dissent and debate, the Dems are the evil empire, quashing all questions over their core beliefs. |

The Dems care about TOTAL CONTROL of every aspect of you life.They want to tell you how to live and they beat it into the people thet they are inept. Just look at the welfare community they have been told that they can't do anything they need the system. I think it is total [BS2].Without the guns they can do whatever they want. The Republicans should start to air commercials comparing the Anti-gunners/Dems to Facists and show pics of the people in Iraq, the concentration camp survivors etc. That is the only way the point will get across.That is the way I see it anyway. Remember they are all Hypocrites.

The modern Democratic Party grew out of the old Socialist Party. AS above, they are diehard SOCIALISTS. They want to bring about a world-wide SOCIALIST government. They can't tell the sheeple when and how high to jump as long as they are armed.
Another interesting tidbit... the United Methodist Church, and joined by the Presbyterians, started the Coalition to Ban Handguns. They are in every anti-gun and peace movement around. The leadership in these churches are the most socialist/communist people around. Their offices were filled with young socialist seminary students, many of whom were concientious objectors, during the Vietnam War. They did the scut office work, and as the older people left, the younger ones took over. These are the cretins that make the calls, stuff the envelopes, print the flyers, make the signs, for all those marches, protests, etc. And they want our guns, too. So, if this pisses off some of the members of these churches, GOOD... the truth hurts, huh? |

Yes, many DemocRATs are stupid. Yes, it's not about guns, it's about control. Yes, for DemocRATs gun control is becoming a party-line vote. But also, it is about the fact that most homicides in the USA are committed by young Black males who kill other young Black males over drugs, turf, and the money that can be made through drugs and turf. The DemocRATs can NOT win a national election without the Black vote, and tens of thousands of young Black men kill other young Black men every year. This is tearing the Black community apart, and has become a major Black political issue. The DemocRATs are totally against discrimination (a word which means "to tell the difference"). To them, there is no difference between a law-abiding NRA member and an "urban youth" standing on a street corner selling crack. If the young Black man might commit murder with his firearm, then the NRA member is JUST AS LIKELY to commit murder, too. And if you disagree, then as far as they are concerned, you MUST be a bigot. The DemocRATs are politically incapable of admitting that their own voters are most of the "gun violence" problem. And they are prepared to punish all of us, over and over again, to: 1)Keep the Black vote, 2)keep the "Liberal" vote, and 3)"solve" the problem. Without a serious anaylsis of the problem no solution is going to work. Instead, we will continue to get solutions that don't work, such as "gun control". Seriously I think they are just frightened. Not by just guns, but life in general. They want to be able to forget about everything and let the Gov't make all their choices for them. They are morally weak and/or corrupt, scared of their own shadows and are afraid to admit it. America was not born of scared people, let me rephrase that. I'm sure plenty were scared, but that didn't prevent them from doing what was best for our country.
We have enough laws in this country and maybe if we would enforce the old ones, plus lose a few stupid ones, we wouldn't need new ones every other day. Damn, how many redundant resolutions did we have for Iraq? That's just my small opinion, but I truly believe they are just scared. |
