I was just watching the movie JFK on tv last Sunday, hadn't seen it for a while. In spite of the fact that Oliver Stone's a tool, I really liked that movie. The investigation, the plot, the performances (except for Joe Pesci), the cinematography.

Anyway, from all the stuff I've seen, it looks to me like the CIA wanted JFK dead, whether for hanging the Cuban counterrevolutionary movement out to dry, or because of Kennedy's intention to dismantle the Federal Reserve. The latter would have pissed off very powerful banking and capital concerns who had fought hard for generations to turn the central banking affairs of the US over to private hands, which they finally accomplished in 1913. The leadership of the CIA was drawn from the very top of the American ruling class in the early days.

They liased with the Italian mob, who despised the Kennedys for not trying to recover Cuba (where they operated casinos lost to Castro) and for RFK's insistence on cracking down on the mob, after organized crime associated with labor and political machines in WV and IL helped eke out a win for Kennedy over Nixon in 1960.

Saw a documentary on the history channel based on the testimony of an impeccable French mafia informant that Corsican hitmen were brought in to do the shooting.

The only alternative theory (and I came up with this) that makes sense to me is that communist intelligence services assasinated Kennedy in retribution for CIA attempts on Castro's life, and that Oswald was their agent. The Warren Commision realized that and covered it up, in order to prevent the possibility that such a revelation would lead to war, which very likely would have gone nuclear.

We've got how many shooters here? How many of you could do that with a Remington 700? Not many, if any. The way his head jerked to the left and backward isn't too consistent with a shot from a rifle fired from the 6th story of a building. I've read the book about the AR15 theory, but that's been many years ago and don't remember it so I won't say it is the most conclusive story/theory we have. When the History Channel repeats "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" you need to watch it or tape it or TIVO it.
