This seems to be a regular occurance. Just moments ago:
co-worker - "Good morning, and how are you today?"
Me - "Mornin', I feel like pure crap, you?" (I caught a cold over the weekend that was no doubt the span of AQ bio-terror)
Co-worker gets strange look on face and walks away.
moments later........
co-worker #2 - "Good morning!!! How was your weekend!!!!!??"
me - "It was ok."
co-worker #2 - "Just OK??"
me - "Yeah." (wondering if she just didnt hear me right)
co-worker #2 again - "JUST OK????"
Me - "Yes, just OK!" (it was too short, I felt bad, I had a bunch of things to get done that I didnt hve time to, needed to mow the yard but the starter on the mower was bad and we didnt have the money to replace it, etc.....) I didnt provide all the details as she began talking to someone else.
This is a regular thing. Its like if someone asks how you are doing, or how things are going, the automatic response is SUPPOSED to be GREAT! Everything is WONDERFUL!! YIPPEE!! Whether or not that is the truth or not. I am not like that. If you ask me how I feel or how I am doing, etc., I will tell you. If things are great I will say so. If things are crappy I will say so.
WHY do people ask questions that they really do NOT want a truthful answer for??????????????? If you dont want to know how I am doing, DONT ASK! This has puzzled me for YEARS now.
