brasspile,
that looks awesome. Do you have a close-up pic of the pattern?

Well, I just took some, they show off my sloppy airbrush abilities (at the time), and some screwups, but nature is random, right?
Started off, cleaned entire AR, sprayed OD. Wrapped Camo Tape on the large areas that were easy to do. Airbrushed similar (wetlands/grasslands/stuff in SD) pattern on metal parts (yes, even the bolt). Then cut strips of RealTree mesh with the "zig-zag" scissors (pinking shears), and stuck them to it with super-sticky non-UV glue (about 200 strips). After that, I printed a range/drift card on waterproof paper, attached it with spray adhesive, and covered it with MapLife to make sure it didn't get weather damaged (it has a bit, but pretty good so far).
That is the process. I walk through wooded areas with this, and the "Ghillie strips" don't get pulled off. Good Glue! If you can get your item with a color scheme you want to me, I will mangle yours, too (for a small fee...). [:P]
Rangecard and woops with airbrush...

The bolt side:

The "business end", complete with mouse squeaker that can be operated with thumb while holding on target. (It is really annoying when you are putting the gun in the truck and hear the squeaks...)

Thanks for the compliments! If anybody has any ideas for my next project, let me know! (Doing a shotgun for a friend right now...)
