Don't tell me you crossed valencia and let it go over there so it will cross the street back and get run over thereby rendering you liable for it's death and subject to lawsuits from the PETA types.
[:D]
We had our first one a week or so ago and I saw three a month ago at the golf course.

Then he woulda said "they REALLY hate it when you do this" and then begun to swing it around his head and tie it into a pretzel.
Seriously, nice catch though.

I helped harvest eggs and a gator farm once. ONCE.

There's a Croc Hunter episode where they came to the Tucson area and he was in a wash, crawling into their den pulling them out. Must have been 12 or so in there.
The guys a nut.

If you sharpened those blades every once in awhile, that thing would cut with far less pressure on the grip. [:D]

Snakes are cool (non-venomous ones anyway). I miss my old Python... had to sell him to appease the little woman.

The only good snake is either a hat band or a pair of cowboy boots.

Nothing cures a snake problems at the range faster then a benelli and some #4 shot.

The Rifle Club in Boulder, Colorado has a big sign with their range rules painted on it.  Number 10 reads something like:

10.  No shooting of wildlife on range property (rattlesnakes excepted).

I've been into herpetology since I was a kid. My son has an Arizona Mountain King that is one of the most beautiful animals I've ever seen. We also have some lizards (used to breed Bearded Dragons before the prices went to hell) and 5 tortises living in our back yard. To me, one of the best things about living in the desert is the abundant wildlife.

How do you have intercourse now?

AzLarry, you have my respect. Most of the kindergartners here would have killed it. I keep two as pets in my home, and [treehugger]cant stand it when idiots kill snakes for no reason.

There was actually an episode where Steve Irwin looked genuinely scared.   It was the one where he got the call that Terri went into labor.  Man, I thought he was going to piss in his pants.

And the look on Terri's face when Steve brought the film crew into the delivery room?  Absolutely priceless.

Cool. I haven't seen a rattler around here, yet, this year. Caught a couple of garter snakes a couple of days ago.
I've been actively hunting bull snakes for the last couple of weeks, with no luck. I need to import a few to the yard to take care of some rats living in the bushes.

I haven't seen a rattler in a couple of years. I guess that means I need to get out more. The last one I saw had tagged my parent's Great Dane on the nose and my father was throwing it a beating with a shovel. The poor dog's nose swelled up like you wouldn't believe but after a trip to the vet and a liberal amount of benadryl, she was fine.
