Mine was locked even though it was a legit topic. Yes, it was a Trump oriented thread but, moreover it was about democrats and their defection from their party. It should not have been locked as the subject matter is now completely lost in the pile of shit that the "Official" thread has now become.

The site staff hear needs to reevaluate that decision. They won't, but, they should. I guess my paid membership for the last fucking decade or more doesn't mean shit. Oh well.

I must have missed something.

It was my understanding that people were having their Trump threads locked, not discussions that were in some ways related to him and other candidates.

Consolidating the threads was the wrong move. It creates more work for the mods and pisses off users because it's essentially collective punishment.

What the mods should've done was issue warnings and/or temporary bans to the half a dozen trolls starting and infesting the majority of the political threads, and then leave the overwhelming majority of users that can have mature and respectful discussion without resorting to trolling to their own devices.

Great point. And from a Canadian too! I'm pissed my thread was locked. It should stand on its own. It was a legit topic that can in no way survive the shit shot the "Official" thread has become. I think the site staff needs to reevaluate who they have running this forum. Zman to name one needs to be lashed 100 times for fucking up this place.
