My policy with collectinsure is coming to a end in a few weeks so I'm shopping.

Eastern/Historic Firearms does not cover ammunition despite their great rates so they're out of the question.

Is there anyone else worth looking into?  Thinking about just rolling forward my collect insure policy.

Those who are going through your main insurance company, how are your rates looking per 1,000 of coverage?

I have found normal insurance; Farmers, State Farm, etc, much more expensive than Collectinsure.

I might pay alittle more but the insurance agent I've had for years has a zero BS policy when it comes to paying a claim. I got a quote from a few of the popular firearms insurers and State Farm was within a few hundred dollars on a 250k stated value policy.

Cheaper is not always better.

My Farmers Insurance policy covers $2500 worth of firearms as part of my standard policy.

However I purchase additional riders from them at $50/year per $5000 dollars of additional coverage.

Insurance agents don't pay claims. Adjusters do.
