Obama offers Supreme Court hints; top Democrat suggests Republican governor

(CNN)President Barack Obama said Wednesday it would be "difficult" for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to explain his decision not to consider a Supreme Court nominee without looking like he's motivated by politics.

Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid suggested a Republican, Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, as a potential nominee. A source confirmed to CNN that the White House is vetting Sandoval, although he has not been actively involved in the process.

One thing's for sure, if Reid is backing a nominee, especially a Republican there is no way in hell is it good.

If he's smart he'll nominate some Rhino-type Republican like Kennedy.  Then, if the Republican won't appoint him, Obama can point out how unreasonable the Reps are.

Maybe McConnell could cite the previous statements made by Democrat leadership regarding election year nominations. Surely they wouldn't have been motivated by politics.

Any Nevadians want to chime in? What's up with this guy?

I actually think it is a brilliant strategy-
Nominate the one guy who could get America back on track
Keep his thoughts off the Prez running , keeping him split, distracted
If Cruz accepts, it looks like a win for FBHO.
If he declines/ Senate refuses him, it gives FBHO ammo, room to tell everyone 'I GAVE YOU THE BEST NOMINEE, WHAT DO YOU WANT!!'

While it is not a chance to throw an ultra lib in there, it would be a YUUUGE WIN-WIN for FBHO

He's a RINO who was a federal judge before getting ambitious.  Remember assholes (senators), this is Scalia's seat.  Just anyone will not do!

Then he will withdraw him and resubmit a far left activist and the Republicans will have spent all their bluster on the ruse.  The MSM will go on the full scale assault and the republicans will pay for it in the election.  ......that's probably his plan anyways.
