Good lord, the political thoughts I come up with on the john. Anywhoo, what would happen if this came to be?

Nobody wins, obama gets his third term.

The first round of elimination will be arm wrestling.
The winners of the arm wrestling contest will have a knife fight with their left arms tied together.

Hillary wins.

Bernie isn't running third party.  He doesn't have the time/money to get on the General election ballot in all 50 states at this point.  Trump is still in the time/money window if he is willing to spend his own money; but even for him that window is closing quick.  Another month and even Bloomberg with his wallet out won't be able to pull off a third party run.

We would get a president that about 14% of the population voted for.

It won't happen but it would result in the House of Representatives picking the president

Best case scenario.

No, one of them would win in the end.  You decide.

The Koch Bros and Adelson should bankroll Bernie's 3rd party run with money hidden behind seven proxies.

It's fitting you were on the john thinking about Sanders.

As Bartholemew Roberts said, the time window for ballot access is fast closing. Bernie won't run third party, but his followers might stay home on election day, or vote Green. Theoretically, Hillary might patch this up by naming Bernie as VP.

On the Republican side, there's no reason for Trump to contemplate a third-party run as long as he's in the lead for the nomination. But the party might break apart at the convention, with the establishment wing walking out (if Trump looks like he'll be the nominee) and running someone else as the "real" Republican. If the party machinery remains in establishment hands, there could be an issue in some states as to which candidate would appear on the ballot on the official "Republican" line. This might have to be resolved in the courts.

Bloomberg is a factor only in the fevered imaginings of his own mind. I don't see him garnering much support.

1. Much hilarity on the campaign trail and record ratings for the debates, if the networks are smart enough to insist on a "free for all' format.
2. The election decided by the House and Senate.
3. (Perhaps) a Republican President and a Democrat Vice-President, resulting in;
4. Roman Empire levels of intrigue

Why would Trump run 3rd party when he's about the win the Republican nomination?

That would be a hell of a mess.

It'd be incredible if somehow Trump, Sanders, and Bloomberg all ran 3rd party, with Clinton and Cruz getting the D, and R nominations. The entertainment would be out of this fucking world.

I never thought that the political process could become the circus provided by the rulers to keep the people quiescent.
That's a failure of imagination on my part.
Is it too late to amend the Constitution so that Arnold can join the fray?
