My gift to you.
This is a User Script (aka Userscript or Greasemonkey Script). If you don't know how userscripts or greasemonkey scripts work, google it. It is simpler than putting together a stripped lower. This allows you to remove threads that contain words in the topic (such as Trump) that you don't care about, are posted by users you don't care about, and for extra fun allows you to make threads in your Active Topics or Newest Topics in forums you don't care about disappear. The easy instructions: 1. Install Greasemonkey, Userscripts, or whatever is equivalent for your browser. 2. Add the below text as a user script. 3. If this doesn't make sense, find a geek that will help you. Merry Christmas in February. Download the script from Github View the script / license in the github repository |

Too bad we don't have a politics forum where all those thread could be sent - oh wait....

If I was mod or staff I'd edit your title to add Cruz Trump Clinton Sanders just for fun.

Tried it and found it made my system laggy and unresponsive. Did a little research and found out there's a folder called system32 that was slowing down my computer. Deleted it and now I don't see any Trump or Cruz threads in GD, guaranteed!
|
|
GD would be nicer if the political threads were consolidated into one thread per candidate.

Can you find a script that will fix the POS search function? Everyone bitches about pic hosting and bandwidth, but jesus fucking christ can membership get a decent search function for once in the history of arfcom?...

Looking through it some more, you're filtering BadMonk? Really? That dude's pretty cool for a Dawg. But then again I've only interacted with him in the college ball thread and acouple times in the super secret .mil section. I like messing with him in the college ball thread.
Disregard, I was thinking thebaldmonk. lol |

Thank you.
now go make me a script to hack this freeking hotel remote so I can turn off the closed captioning. I'm staying in Alcoa, so maybe you can drive over here and reprogram it for me quick. |

View Quote My Eyes! Why aren't Trump images blocked?! Seriously though, OP is a generous man. I'm too invested in the system, but hopefully others get some use from it. |

Undefined, your script will block a thread that I create. Why?
ETA: To be more clear, it blocks out threads by any user whose name contains "hammermill". Seems like it should be looking for an exact match? |

Nor did I have one with hammermill, it was for educational purposes. |

It amazes me that people are bothered this much by such inconsequential things.

We need a script which checks all the threads on the first page of GD once per minute, and searches every page of those threads for the word "Trump".
Threads with "Trump" in them go into the catagory of "Trump threads". Then the number of Trump threads, compared to the total number of threads, is calculated as a percentage. The resulting number is formatted into an image which says "____% Trump Threads in GD." and then uploaded to a given image URL. This would allow us to keep track of the Trump-thread ratio and identify when we have reached peak Trump threads. |
