Well, I'd like to know how them poor ol' hillbilly SOB's managed to buy all the 4 wheelers used as props in Mad Max? Fuckers must have a gold mine or something.

METH I was kinda hoping was going to be something like the Brown family doing stupid shit, but this time really hurting, with some real world consequences. Bummer. |

Turns out I don't have WGN (on xfinity), and I can't get it.
Anyone have a place I can stream it? |

WGN America does have the first episode online though. I assume they will have the others available going forward. http://www.wgnamerica.com/videos/S01E01-Farrell-Wine |

I've seen hillbilly "mountain folk" (Madison County, NC). No, they're not like the characters portrayed on the show. The characters on the show have a few more chomosomes to rub together.

So are they hillbillies or melungeons? View Quote My wife is Appalachian with a strong Melungeon blood line..... She hates the jokes they have gotten old.....she's also has most of the work done for her PhD in Psychology... But even though she has s part of the smallest minority in America (college grad Appalachian women) she is not a "protected" which is OK i n her eyes as she needs no protection but she does think that the double standards of the entertainment industry is very telling. |

Got to be hillbilly.
No such thing as melungeon. At least, that's what they say.... |

They filmed some of that local to me in southwest PA. But it's based in Kentucky i think....Eh same difference.
I'm suprised they didn't run into some real inbreds while they were filming. There's one guy up there who lives in a trailer that's all torn down but one room. Beer cans for grass and a big sign that says "fuck you dave" in bright yellow paint. I think dave messed with his dope plants at some point. These are the same guys that shoot up the PA game commission deputies cars and houses when they get caught poaching and riding on game lands property. Blew the porch off of one's house years back. |

This show should be highly popular among GD dwellers. The first episode featured a bisexual male drug dealer who's shacked up with a tranny. What more could you ask for?

I forgot about my thread.
Thanks for the link. Watching online. |

For some reason, that is hilarious to me. Yeah that cracked me up too. They filmed the pilot for Justified in Kittaning too. Parts of western PA look a hell of a lot like eastern Kentucky. Hence Pennsyltucky...although terrain similarities aren't the only reason, but we're fine with that. ETA: I have the first episode on the DVR but haven't watched it yet, thinking I will after I'm done cooking. |

And yes, the terrain there is similar. |

Watched the first episode. Not bad...I'll watch a couple more to see where it goes.

Those backwoods girls are something...
Seems like it has potential after two episodes. Has some good actors in it and has the premise to be fun. Needs a good gun fight in the next few episodes or it's going to drag on I think. |
