meh too much unnecessary plot building and not enough action so far, however I look forward to see how they can jazz up season 2.

It is ok. It is not as good as the original series, but does give us insight as to how the virus started and how the government tried to contain it.
It is definitely has a liberal slant to it. Priority number is to find drugs for my adult addict son, not find weapons, water, food etc. ?????

I'm lukewarm about it. The whole sub plot about the druggie kid pisses me off. Just let him withdraw. Opiate withdrawal is not life threatening.

the stated point of FTWD was supposed to be showing the actual mechanics of the societal breakdown...and then they skipped the 9 days during which society broke down.
i hate all the characters except reuben blades and black charisma man, who looks to be awesome. the mom seems like she might have some redeeming qualities eventually, and the daughter isn't terrible to look at. i'm actively rooting for the rest of them to die. |

At least the original did not have issues with guns. Other than not having enough guns, and enough ammo.

It is like the guys who did Sharknado were tasked with making a SyFy version of TWD All of these.It's supposed to be set in Los Angeles but the Dead are almost non existent.The National Guardsman go tearing down the streets of L.A. in Humvees with hardly a zombie in sight.They missed a golden opportunity to show the breakdown of society during the first days of the infection.The Dad is useless.The only 2 good characters are the Mom and the Salvadorian barber,they both get it.The only reason I might watch season 2 is the hope that I might get to see heroin addict son eaten. |
