Treaded barrels are the tool of satan and have been ban for use on semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines since September of 1994. The world is a safer and better place since then.
A crowned barrel is the best. Any muzzle device will cause a bit of turbulence which will effect accuracy a little tinnie tiny bit. Changing one muzzle device to another or even removing one will effect the point of impact by a lot - but the accuracy will be pretty much the same. |

Threaded barrels with flash suppressors such as the Vortex are a must for militia. It would be advantageous not to be adversely affected by the muzzle flash from one's own weapon while defending the Constitution and Bill of Rights, especially as the JBT regularly operate during low light hours.
