HARRIS COUNTY — Harris County Sheriff’s deputies and Houston Police placed a northwest Harris County apartment complex on lockdown Wednesday as they combed the area for a group of suspected armed robbers thought to have struck the La Michoacana Meat Market on Spring Cypress Road.

Authorities said two armed men stormed the business around 2 p.m. and demanded money from employees.

Krystal Zandrana works the register at the check cashing business inside. She said one of the men placed a gun at her head.

“It was a big experience because I’ve never seen this before,” said Zandrano. “He was saying, ‘Give me the money or we’re going to shoot.’”
