Ok GD, let's do this.
Starting on Monday afternoon (always at about 5:30), I keep getting a call from someone who is blocking their number. Caller ID just says unknown. I never answer these, so I just ignored it on Monday, Tuesday, and now today this unknown person is back. I'm tired of it, so I finally answered today at about 5:30. Goes like this. dskeet: Hello? Unknown female caller: So I finally went to the doctor dskeet: So I think you have the wrong number UFC: Oh sorry *click* At about 7:30.. phone rings again. I ignore. Immediately rings again, fuck it, I answer. dskeet: Hello? UFC: Is this Dan XXXXXXX? dskeet: I think you still have the wrong number *click* Just a few minutes ago... shes calling again. Really getting tired of this shit. She just asks if I'm Dan, I say no and point out that she has called me about 7 times and I'm still not who she is looking for. Hangup. Maybe this is over, maybe not. She certainly is determined. Must be some drama in her life is she is calling some dude while blocking her number, and he clearly didn't give her a real number...lol Maybe she is the mistress and this guy named Dan is married.. and she went to the doctor for a pregnancy scare? lol who knows. How shall I start handling this? Give me ideas on how to make it fun |

I just hold down numbers on the phone or play high pitched sounds

She's looking for a baby daddy. You answered. Congrats on 18 years of child support.

Tell her you have the aids, but you won the lottery and want to get back together.

Ufc "is this Dan?"
dskeet "yes, who is this?" Ufc "Ufc, I went to the Dr." dskeet"So did I, said I have the hairpees" ..... profit |

1 - Create a contact in your phone with number of UFC.
2 - After creating contact, scroll to the bottom of UFC's contact page and select "block caller". Done, unless you have some shitty Obama phone. |

Panasonic KX-TGA680 cordless phone. You can block several hundred specific numbers, and there's an option to dis-allow blocked or private numbers.
A phone that hangs up on scuppers and spammers….it's worth it's weight in gold. |

start sending photos of promotional celebrity head shots.
I'd start with Abe Vigoda. |

I bet it is someone screwing with you with something like http://www.prankdial.com/
And laughs they are having. |

I have a friend who just goes along with caller.
When she said I went to the doctor he'd have asked why and then concocted some wild response. |
|
for a while I kept getting calls from a particular telemarketer
I kept a porn video of two lesbians being very loud on my desktop if they'd call I'd play the video, hold the phone near the speaker and after a while yell in the distance "oh shit the phone picked up" and hang up one of the times I did it they immediately called back and the guy conferenced in his coworkers |

If this is on a cell phone and you have an Android, you can download Mr. Number app for free and block the number. I use it and it works great.

I don't answer unknowns and I don't have voicemail enabled. Mystery numbers that call me more than once get blocked. People who have reason to call me know I'm probably driving if I don't pick up and therefore ignoring my phone. They send me texts I'll check when I park. It's a good system.

There are always the time honored "Hello, Dominos Pizza" and "City morgue. You kill 'em, we chill 'em" greetings.

Once while I was working some lady called me and started talking. I just "uh-huh", "wow", "yeah"'d for about 30 minutes. Literally. This lady went through her whole day, bitched about her mom, talked about her doctors appointment, cut herself shaving, PTA meeting, pulled a muscle at zumba, got a pedicure, organizing a birthday party, sore from getting waxed, the works. finally she says "so when will you be home?" I say "about six, same as usual babe" dead silence, "who is this?" "it's GoneBallistic, who'd you think it was?" silence, and then "Oh my God!", and then just laughing, she started laughing so hard, she finally apologized and hung up. |

You mean someone is calling trying to sell illicit drugs to you?! You should inform the authorities.

Next time you see the number come up, pick up the phone and start ordering a pizza as if you called her instead of vice versa. Ask for lots of unusual toppings. Be very descriptive, and change your mind multiple times.

Cordless phones?
Ask them to hang on a minute... Take two cordless phones, put them side by side earpiece to mouthpiece and mouthpiece to earpiece... Move them apart until you induce a feedback loop. You'll know when you have sucessfully achieved this by the high pitch squeal that the phone emits... Usually accompanied by vociferous amounts of swearing on the other end of the phone... Works great for persistant offender telemarketers too... I'm guessing most of them wear headsets... |

I keep getting calls from some outfit in Dubai. I can't remember the name but I googled them up one time.
First thing to resolve on the page was the name of the institution and the tag line "The World's Leading Islamic Lending Institution". Thanks Obama |

I usually forward my calls for a little while to the local police non emergency number. Let someone else deal with that shit for awhile. After about an hour, I just hit *73 and turn the forwarding off. 9 times out of 10, the calls stop. You can also forward them to a pizza parlor, friend, etc... Really anyone is fair game. I have sent a couple to my brother. He's wise to me now though. You have to dial*72 and then the number you want to forward the calls to. When the person at the other end answers, I just say "oops, wrong number" if I don't know you or I claim to have butt dialed you by accident if I do and then politely hang up. Last time I told my brother that I accidentally butt dialed him, he says "bullshit! Turn the forwarding off asshole".

We get telemarketer calls sometimes. Invariably it is while I`m taking a well deserved nap. The other day I was startled awake from a DEEP sleep. Pissed me off when the lady didn`t like that I politely asked to be put on their do not call list. Ok....
( I MUST answer all calls right now with two sons traveling and a 91 year old FIL in a nursing home) So I called the number back and got a guy ( it was a travel agency) and explained to him that I needed him to put me on the do not call list. Little prick he was. Told me that it was my responsibility to have THEM put on MY do not call list. ok,,,, By this time I was fully awake and needed to do some computer work so I started calling the number back. They answered "blah blah travel" and I just listened in till they hung up. Long story short,,,there were only two people in the office. By the time I hit the 80th or so call they were BEGGING me to stop calling. The guy was crying that "he couldn`t make any money" with me tying up their phones. Tough shit,,,,shouldn`t have bothered me at home. The girl that answered every other time was even worse. " I`m going to get fired if I don`t hit my quota" Tough shit,,,shouldn`t have woken me up. All in all I spent about an hour on the computer all the time hitting redial on the phone with it on speaker. Fun times. I`d rather have finished my nap,,,,But Nooooooo,,,they had to wake me up. I`m 61 and I don`t want a free cruise, vacation, pantyhose, e-vape refill or any fucking thing else. IF I want something I`ll buy it. I worked all my life doing without and now it`s my time. And I`ll spend it MY way. |

Are you in Florida? I think she is looking for DanTSX...or maybe GuyinFL.

When I first moved to Montana and got the home phone I would get a lot of calls for the previous owner of that phone number.
After weeks of saying you have the wrong number, or that person doesn't have this number anymore I came up with something a little different. Caller : Is Nancy xxx there? Me : No, I'm sorry she passed away 2 days ago. All calls have stopped. |
