Had chest pains at work. They went away and came back. Fiancée drove me to hospital. They're running blood work.
Update: Ran a couple of EKGs and a chest Xray. All is ok. Just got home. Now bed. Gotta go to work tomorrow. *Update 12/29* Went to my regular doctor, he said that I have ZERO risk factors for heart disease and he said everything looked fine to me. He once again didn't want to speculate on what it could have been, just told me the docs wanted to make sure what it wasn't. |

It sucks, but going in for an eval is better than waking up dead on Christmas. Best of luck to you.

I guarantee its that 'holiday heart attack' or whatever they call it where its a mix of stress, excitement and a weeks worth of candy/cookies/roast/alcohol/sugar/carbs that gives you really really bad heartburn and upper back pain.

Smart move OP. Not trying to be a downer, but I had a friend, picture of health, active, did pretty much all the right things - dropped dead at the age of 29 while talking on the phone to the neighbor. Just sayin' . . . smart move. Best of luck.

Prayers OP....never say never but you'd really have to have a lot wrong to be having a heart attack at 29.
Probably just stress and anxiety from work, if your work is anything like mine. |

Hopefully just acid reflux or something harmless like that.
Fingers crossed! |

I'll share a little story with ya Deej.
About 7 years ago we had one of the last Christmas dinners at my mom's house. Lots of family, loud kids, mom putting on dinner for us and the numerous grand kids. She had some help from my sisters but that kind of dinner she was prepping for days, on top of the normal holiday rush. Well the dinner was fine and the gift exchange went well but mom was rather tired. After most folks left and it was just my mom, my sister, and myself my mom said she didn't feel well, tightness in the chest was worse. Worse? What do you mean worse? Oh, my chest heart since about 2pm but I didn't want to ruin anyone's Christmas. Well of course we called an ambulance and went to the hospital. It was a heart attack, or rather a series of smaller ones. I did have to point out that keeling over dead on Christmas might have ruined Christmas. Needless to say, mom's days of putting on Christmas dinner are over. She has to suffer through our cooking. Get yourself checked out. That's the safe move. Oh and dibs on your ammo. ETA |

Deej, relax itll be ok. We see more chest pain type stuff during the holidays than anything else. Most of it is stress and then followed by bronchitis and chest colds. Saying a prayer that all will be good. Merry Christmas

Best of luck Deej and you've got this.
For what it's worth, I hope you have a nice Christmas regardless of medical drama. |

Best to be where you are. Never think that it's silly to have the same say it's nothing and send you home.
Hope things turn out well (no pun intended ) |

The blood work should be back already. What's your Troponin? If you can, take a pic of your 12-lead EKG and paste it in here. It will look like this: https://www.ndsu.edu/pubweb/~grier/FP-C-11-Nasiff-printout.jpg View Quote I would hope his doesn't look like that in III, V2, and V3 at 29. |
