Update, 12/15: In order to avoid euthanasia tomorrow both these dogs were placed with rescues.

Morrigan's transport is on hold. Keegan's is still in the works. Link to their thread
But I saw these 2 dogs listed. Everything I know is posted. If anyone has interest I can get them. I can inquire if you have questions. They looked like good dogs and this time of the year sees lotsof dogs dropped at shelters.

"#418 This adorable black male mix is a young, cute dog in need of a great home. He is friendly, loves to be petted, great with kids and other dogs ....and needs a home for Christmas! Message me if you can provide a home or rescue for this sweet guy. He is another small dog....about 20-25 lbs."

"#420 Yellow male mix, possibly a Boxer mix
Good with other dogs and kids....sweet and friendly.
Appears to be about a year old. Approximately 40 pounds."

Fellow members, who can help? (at our house, we are at the limit for dogs in our county here in Virginia, at four)

*edit, we adopted a black lab mix, like the baby in the first pic, and she is a doll and complete angel

Damn, if we weren't renting id love to have that yellow pup. We have a Chihuahua and he needs a companion. Unfortunately I cant convince the wife to get a "real" dog.

Per the woman that has visited the dogs in the shelter, "He is not a yapper, very friendly. No idea on the house breaking ...but he needs to get out of the shelter ASAP."

I have two dogs like the yellow mix. Wonderful pets, and smart. The little girl will come up to you, wait for a lull in the conversation if you are talking, then put her paw on your hand and look into your eyes until you let her out to go potty.

Her brother only realizes he needs to pee when she goes out. "Oh, yeah! I gotta whiz! Wait for me!"

We are in Northern, KY. Information is sparse but comparing 420's size to the 25 pound #418 I would guess around 40? I'm inquiring with a volunteer now.

Both are in the Lewis County animal shelter in Vanceburg, Kentucky. They are small and rural and have no website. They have a Facebook page but it isn't kept updated. Link

There is a new ACO that hasn't been very communicative. I can, however, get dogs from them with minimal hassle. I know a volunteer/rescuer in the area that helps me.

Thanks for the info. I want to, I just can't. I'm in for transportation help through DFW if needed, whatever.

I spoke to the shelter and they have no info available on dog #418. He was "dropped off".
