Amelia Bearheart
Sorry, couldn't resist. 10/10 for 'kill it and grill it', but in reality I've got to dock a few points for lack of balance (especially roughage. If I ate a meal that was just a couple pounds of meat I'd be shitting an ass-rending concrete brick the next day.) What does bear meat taste like? |

first i made a asian marinade, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, and rice vinegar
One of my go to marinades. Next time, consider mixing some red pepper flakes in there. |

Auto 10 and nice bruin. What's he square? I prefer heart sliced, chicken fried and served with cream gravy...but that's me.

Nice, Bro!
I'm not interested in killing a bear, unless it's interested in killing me. But killing one with a handgun is pretty badass. Bravo! The tastiest piece of meat I've ever had was venison heart, cooked by an old Frenchman. I wish he was still alive. Happy Halloween, Bearslayer! |

I really like bear meat. We used to cure the hams and bbq the ribs. The rest went to stew meat and jerky. Been a bunch of years since I kilt Yogi. I miss living where I could if I wanted to. Congrats on a really nice bear!

Thank you ! this is probably the smallest I've taken. we didn't ever get an exact weight but had a decent idea that it was 220-230+ live weight |

Congrats! I've been starting to think about doing a black bear hunt, this kind of fuels that fire.

What load was used? What was the distance? Shot placement?
You know, the important stuff! eta... load answered! |

Awesome!
I'm curious, how many pounds left after removal of skin/fur, innards, and bones? |

This is not a 10/10 dinner and I do not know how to rate it because my brain's inner dinner pic thread meter overloaded somewhere around 36/10.
Sir you have set a new standard for dinner pics. |

Never new a heart was so thick. Big critter I guess.
CT's own bear huntin lumber sexual!! Nice. Dogs keep him back and you hit in him with the 44 up close? Pussy. You should have slit his throat with your Swiss Army knife. |

-1 no napkin
-1 no side/veggies +1 for bad ass hunt and dinner |

Even if you tried to Fk that up I'd still give you a 10/10 for the kill n grill

That is awesome OP. 10/10. Black bear is high on my list, but elk is next in line.
I cooked up a chili with 4 deer hearts today. I am letting it sit overnight and then we will serve it up for lunch tomorrow. Heart is a really overlooked piece of any wild game. It is great fried, grilled, or in the place of ground meat. |

Only way to top that would be too kill the bear with a hand knife and then eat it's heart raw
