to paint your house a nice camo pattern [woodland]. I'm talking a nice size two story house. Would only a nutcase do something like this? The house does not sit in a tract of homes. And theres no law against it. What do ya think?

I would like to someday paint an entire house in luminous paint.

The purpose of camoflage paint is to disguise something.  Camo paint is not going to make you house hard to find.  Solid OD would blur its outlie somewhat, but to what end?  Weird? Affirmative....

just think of all your choices: urban, woodland, desert, jungle ect..

hell you can paint the house camo colors to match the 4  seasons[;)]

I moved out 2 years ago and divorced "mrs. rainman" now shes taking the kids and moving to oregon and I have to move back to the house [financial reasons]. If the ex bitch would drop dead life would be so much easier, and i'm sure the kids would get over it in a couple of weeks.

Well, if it were a NICE camo pattern, it would be OK, I guess.... [:D]

But remember, you gotta have 200 sq inches of blaze orance on it.

Another thought -

What happens if you come home drunk???

Will you be able to find your house??

You might spend three hours trying to unlock the front tree. [:D]

Hmmm....a Cammo house....how about a nice flat OD, then erect a cammo net over the whole thing.  I think that would be more effective that just cammo paint.

If you paint as bad as I do, it would look camo by accident.

Absolutely! Go for it, It would look cool, and probably piss off a few liberals at the same time. A friend of mine in high school went to a Government Surplus store and bought a couple of gallons of blaze orange enamel for $2 a gallon. He painstakingly painted his '68 Chevy Impala (the entire car) and it was absolutely hilarious. You could see the thing coming for miles, got lots of funny looks & stares!

Puhleeeeze post a picture of said abode if it gets painted.

That would truly be one of those "now I've seen everything" moments.

This my camouflaged cabin near the Pease River 'somewhere in West Texas.'

Had to 'camo' the cabin. It's about half mile from the River and all sorts of River vermin were sometimes induced to visit - it stood out like a sore thumb!

Painted by REAL ERIC, in a 50s British-type of camo pattern.  He and I almost got into a fistfight over the pattern, but all turned out well.[BD]

Ignore the gentlemen in the photo. I simply don't have a clue as to their identity. And don't even think of asking about the weaponry!

Go for it, rainman.  Heck, I'm thinking of painting pictures of trees and flowers around the outside walls of my house.  And maybe pull all the grass out of the front lawn and cement the entire front.  After that I would paint small grass blades on the entire pavement.

That way I can fire my gardner and save mucho bucks!    [:D]

Go ahead, you can always repaint.

In my hometown, there was one house that was always painted oddly, like black with pink shutters, etc.  For several years, it always had large polka-dots of various colors on it, though the background color would sometimes change.

It was a big attraction for us as kids - whenever we went through that part of town, we'd go out of our way to drive by.

So if you want to attract attention, camo is the way to go, unless you're out in the country so far there's little traffic to spot it.

i like this topic
there was some guy in orange county (south of LA) that was buiding a 2nd story to his house on the hill. the nieghbors up the hill were pissed that the 2nd story MIGHT block their view of the ocean, it didnt and his build was legal. to piss off the nieghbors MORE he painted his house in B&W zebra stripes --LOL

cool paint job on the cabin

You should do this.

    a) spread the seeds
    b) add the water
    c) watch it grow!

Make a CHIA house! that way, you'll never need to repaint, plus it will turn brown in the fall!
