I turned this:
into this: 
I bought some pre-laminated shelving boards, contoured them so I wouldn't lose an eye on a corner (if I came in too hot for some Cheetos), and re-laminated the edge. And one time I dropped a picture frame and the frame broke but not the glass. So , I went and bout some cheap pine wood, and made this: 
The raised portions that the pistols mount on screw in from the back and I made several versions for different pistols. It's got some flaws, but it was one of my earlier projects and I used nothing but a table saw. |

I used all black iron pipe from Home Depot/lowes. 1" for the main parts and 3/4" for some variation. The floor flanges are the most expense part locally $10 each but you can order them online for around $3 I've found. I used all pre cut pieces and kinda made it work. I'm going to replace out living room TV stand with a pipe/wood one that I plan to start building very soon.

She wasn't crazy about it but it was already built and it was staying put. Now she's okay with it. ETA: I love building stuff but have limited time so it can take a long time for a project to get finished. The TV stand will be a challenge. No I may or may not be able to use pre cut pieces, why? Because our house was built like shit and you never know where a stud may or may not be. For heavy ass pipe hanging on a wall I won't trust dry wall screws... shit will pull the whole chunk out lol! So odds are for even that little section it will be more work than expected. The book case deal she wants... man, I am expecting lots of pipe cutting and threading... The closet she is just saying to go with the same kind of white painted wood... it's fucking particle board painted white... She says "resale" value but if I am gonna do the closet I am gonna use good wood and make it a nice "finished" space. I really don't plan on moving personally but she some how thinks we might one day... |

LOL, the contents of the pantry sparked interesting commentary when I originally posted these.... The "NO BEANS" Hormel is for Chili Dogs only.... REAL chili doesn't come in cans.... and has beans!!

I always make my own work benches.
Here is my current reloading and clean bench. I also build the cleats on Wall to add more stuff. I built the shelves and everything up on walls also. 
This is a krydex holster press I made for seejay. He had the foam at his house.

Covertness and I made this shadowbox for my grandpa after I found his medals squirreled away at his house. Archived Thread. The frame took a lot of time to make and came out beautifully.
Final Product. There's a "V" on the bronze star

They stock everything from Cipo mahogany, black walnut, Cherry, just about any kind you can think of. It's like a treasure hunt every time I go there. Very hard to leave without getting a ton of wood that is just to beautiful to pass up. This is just one aisle of the warehouse, there are several.

Found a bench design with some planes to work from. Gonna beef up some areas for a clamp and add some drawers or something.

Fixed some cabinet doors for the gf. Original panels were broken and had been removed. Took a slab of African mahogany, had it planed to 5/8". Doors were 3/4" wider at the bottom, so had to be careful when laying it all out. Routed the edges with a hand router, sanded, stained, and urethaned.
