There are several other guns that could be easily modified to meet the proposal and the M&P meets it as is.....

H&K should be able to mod the VP9 to an ambidextrous button...if they wanted to bother with it.
Personally I'm a big fan of the levers on H&K handguns. They work very well. |

"There shall be no method of manually cocking the pistol other than by pressing the trigger."
So the pistol would be DA only? The striker would be retracted as the trigger is pulled then released instead of the striker being cocked as the slide cycles. |

I'm going to replace my Glock. After doing a lot of research and test firing friend's pistols, it's either going to be an M&P, a VP9, or Sig 2022 if I decide I want da/sa. The VP9 has a great deal going for it and it might be the best 9mm semi auto I've ever put my hands on. The ability to customize every aspect of the grip is the big selling point for me. |
