I've seen many posting emphasising that the mags have green followers.

What the significance of these green followers vs. the regular alum(?) followers?

A redesign; and presently used by the USA. Solves some feed problems.  I have found that replacement of the follower with the "greenie" and the spring with one from Wolff cures many ills.  If a mag doesn't perform flawlessly after that it goes in the "range only" pile.
