I switched between 30 and 60 fps in the menu, then checked to see if it reduced my available storage and it didnt.  It seems like it should though.  Twice as many frames should mean it takes more space to store?  Yes?

Yes.  It didn't seem to matter.  Either one said 4 hours and change remaining on the 64gb card.

Yes, depends on codec used.

Even after turning the unit off and then on? Sometimes calculations are setup to run only once at power on.

frames per second = # of still images recorded per second.  when still images are played back to back, you get the illusion of motion.

60 frames a second recorded, will take up more storage space, than 30.  60 fps is only good if you plan to do slow motion effects.

I didn't try that, but I will.  Thank you

If using the same codec and bitrate, yes.

Sayin' 1080p is grossly oversimplified.

In general it will use twice as much storage if its the same codec.

The only reason to use 60 fps is if you will slow down the footage in post.

The persistance of vision in humans is actually only around 12 fps but you will see a ficker untill 24 a lot of animation is drawn at 12 and double shot. This all just means you can probably slow your 60 fps down to quarter speed before it looks jumpy.

Double check what the camera is actually shooting the 60 fps at, it may be shooting interlaced or it may even be shooting 720 instead of 1080
