Other than that article being horribly written... he survived 9 rounds of .45?
ETA: According to another article it sounds like maybe less rounds actually made contact... |

Damn, so when does it come out that Detective Grant was sleeping/suspected of sleeping with Lieutenant Brachles wife?
Also, nice first post, Also, anyone have a slightly less, shall we say, biased news story about this? |

WTF? That reads really strangely, whether the victim was an undercover cop or not.

Obviously the UC did something wrong, cops don't shoot you for no reason.

An old story, but it provides a little more detail. Sounds like a situation that sucks royally for both of them. |

Lt is on the hook for failing to attend the briefing. That's a huge no no, or at least was when I played in the WOD.

the shooter is actually a drug kingpin and the UC guys were about to expose him..

Reading that article, it sounds more like a premeditated murder than an officer shooting an another officer by mistake.

So bikini pics, and "isolated incident" are bad. Dead babies, gunshot suicides, and beheadings are cool? I don't have a problem with any of those but if "isolated incident" is a trigger to you, toughen up. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

View Quote Actually that isn't the context at all. The context is that departments used to claim any malfeasance by any officer as an "isolated incidence" in an effort to reassure the public that the department didn't have widespread corruption. That is a perfectly reasonable statement for the vast majority of departments to make. The problem was there was a new report that claimed "isolated incidence" almost daily, hence the joke. It doesn't have anything to do with coverups. I personally think it is silly, but evidently some people enjoy doing it. People are here to have fun and silly things are fun. IMHO Stuff like that hurts no one. |

I'm not offended. I am saying that people getting told to stop posting because of what they said is fine but it should be applied to both sides. See, the above post about the "list" where the guy was told to stop it was instigated by the guy posting "isolated incident". that is context. both were wrong. |
