Just received my google onHub, setup took about 30 seconds and I can already say it has boosted performance of the wifi.   I was having coverage issues on the far side of my home, and this completely blankets the house.

I also found that the neighbor kid has been using the wifi.  LOL, the included software allows you to screw with them a bit.  All in all, very well recommended.

T-Mobile provides this top of the line ASUS router free to customers (you have to return it if you terminate your phone plan).  It's tweaked for better cell phone performance.  Covers the whole house no problem.

No way I'm buying a $200 router that I have no idea what else it is capable of doing.

It's strange it has a USB port, but it is not setup to work, supposed to turn it on later with a software update.  I think they are using a lot of software configurable hardware, so that things can change without changing out actual hardware.

Did just now.   Thanks for the link.  I have a TV, way on th eother side of hte house that is connected via wifi, and it is able to stream 4k video.  Thats the extent of my testing.  We have 16 laptops and iPads connected, and 6 T.V.s  all operating flawlessly.

I am a happy camper.

Sucker.  A $200 router that can't compete with other $200 routers.  It would probably be outdone by ~$100 routers.

I'm suspicious enough of using Google software.  No way in Hell would I hook up a piece of their hardware to my computer.  No sir, not gonna happen...

I am not particularly paranoid over google and their nefarious plot to market to me.    12 hours in and I really like the management ability and being able to see which device is doing what and using how much bandwidth.  The ability to throttle any device, or give any device priority is also really nice.  1 thumb tentatively up for it.
