Damn, i heard the rumors - looks like they are really going to do it. |

Somehow I doubt it will have the 3.5, that would hurt SHO sales.

Let me know when they come up with a competitor to the Chevy SS.

SS is a short lived pipe dream that was an experiment by GM of how far GM would go to re-badge an iconic name and how much money they can squeeze out of it. GM exec: Let's take the rebadged G8 Holden that we scrapped, that was $29,900 and let's put on an "SS" badge and add $17,000 for it.... better yet, lets price it higher than the C6 corvettes and in range with our C7 Corvettes. |

You can already get nearly that engine in the focus. Adding 10hp and having the peak torque at 500 fewer RPM does not make for a hot version. The 2.3 seems possible though. |

Maybe the 2.7 from the Edge. It's making 315hp and 350 tq
Suppose to run 14.0@100 weighing 4400lbs. |

i hate to admit it, but i kinda like the new awd focus rs......if i decide i'm going to get an economical car, it's on the top of the list...

Ford has really stepped up their car game the last few years. I'm a diehard Ford truck guy but up until around 4-5yrs ago you couldn't give me a ford car, they never really had anything decent besides the Mustang or Crown Vic.
|

This piques my interest.
The lease on my S4 will be expiring next summer, and I need to look for a replacement. |

Derp wut? Pontiac produced the G8. Holden is GM's subsidiary company in Australia. Holden produced the rebadged G8 under the Commodore model name. Are you seriously trying to compare 7 year old model pricing vs. current auto pricing The two vehicles are not even remotely the same, technologically nor performance-wise, unless you're wanting to compare to the Commodore SS-V Redline with a sticker price of $52k AUS that has the smaller 6.0 vs. the SS's 6.2 producing 55 more horsepower and is still far more technologically advanced than it's counterpart. What you typed makes zero sense. |

Just to get a MOPAR into the mix:
"We first informed you yesterday about an interesting looking Dodge Journey SRT R/T prototype that AB reader Nick Leonard stumbled upon in Saginaw, MI. With its manufacturer lincense plates, unique wheels, quad exhaust tips, road-hugging stance and a well-integrated new front fascia, we figured might be some kind of HiPo Mopar project that the company has kept close to its vest. We didn't know anything else about it other than the fact that we wanted to know more." http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/16/followup-mystery-dodge-journey-srt-r-t-might-be-the-real-deal/ |

For some reason Ford likes to spill the beans early before the end of year and others tend to counter them so they can even up the ante.
I wish they would shut up, build a beast mustang, and reveal it around November after the vette designs are in full production. I'm a GM man, but I do love Fords, Im just sick of GM leaving the best numbers to the Vette. They did this back in 1989 when the 20th Anniversary trans am was the fastest American car but Chevy hurried to release the ZR-1 just in time to claim top spots. Was a dumb 10 best with 3 corvettes in the test ....really?
