Not a CNS hit, no reason for him to drop like a sack of potatoes. Chest trauma is very survivable given the organs aren't destroyed and you have good medical care quickly. Being shot is all about mindset. Just because you're hit doesn't mean you're dead. Finish the fight.

Not as graphic as the one security guard video where he shot himself in the chest with a shotgun. In that one it obviously hurt way longer than he thought it would.
This video he did look like he did immediately regretted pulling the trigger. He seemed to calmly set the gun down like he was wondering "I'm I dead yet?" |

It looks like the angle of the shot was not dead center but to his left . He probably took out the left lung, but may have either missed or just grazed his heart.
Looked kind of like a deer after getting hit through the chest with an arrow. Gets a little wobbly at first and then drops. |

I've shot several deer and know of others that were shot through the heart and ran out of sight before dying. When they were gutted sometimes there wasn't enough heart left to recognize it.
Others shot through the heart would drop like they were hit in the head. |
