Sounds like a good person to be in charge of the military. |

Still over the line, still a foul, mark it zero.

Serious question, would you want that mealy mouthed fucker to have your back behind enemy lines?

I think one poster on here put it best.
He is just an old college socialist who never grew up, which explains the demographics of his fan base. And FYI I believe one of his "goals" if he was elected president was to essentially tear down the military and turn it into a humanitarian organization. |

Literally nothing he says matters. Because he'll still get a shit ton of votes. Socialist Good Democrat Not Hillary If he gets the nomination, which he probably will unless something really changes, that right there guarantees him 45% of the vote, bare minimum, by doing nothing other than being on the ballot. No Democratic candidate for president, no matter how terrible they are, is ever going to get less than 45% in our lifetimes. The other 7-8% he'll need to win is up to whoever his opponent is to piss away. If we put another McCain or Romney on the ballot, it'll happen. |

No one rags on a candidate for not being combat arms (although there are bonus points for that). We just object when a person refuses to support their country when it calls and throw their name in the hat like every other mother's son. A person who shirks their duty should have the decency to "hold their manhood cheap" and stay in the background, if not the shadows. Talk about privilege! He didn't answer the call, didn't serve, didn't risk himself, decided his personal beliefs were above the collective decisions of the Republic and then, because he's safe and whole and healthy, dares to think he's qualified to lead it (as an avowed collectivist no less!). Fuuuck him. Every generation has its war and every man makes his choice. Bernie made his and it's what he'll be judged on. |

The Constitution REALLY should be amended.
An honorable discharge from the armed services should be a REQUIREMENT. How the HELL can you be "commander in chief" when the most you have EVER done is be a "community organizer"? |

However the "Starship Troopers" model did not call for MILITARY Service....it called for "Federal Service" and they were required to take any and all that applied..to quote "But if you want to serve and I can't talk you out of it, then we have to take you, because that's your constitutional right. It says that everybody, male or female, should have his born right to pay his service and assume full citizenship— but the facts are that we are getting hard pushed to find things for all the volunteers to do that aren't just glorified KP. You can't all be real military men; we don't need that many and most of the volunteers aren't number-one soldier material anyhow...[W]e've had to think up a whole list of dirty, nasty, dangerous jobs that will...at the very least make them remember for the rest of their lives that their citizenship is valuable to them because they've paid a high price for it...A term of service is...either real military service, rough and dangerous even in peacetime...or a most unreasonable facsimile thereof."
Fleet Sergeant Ho, Pages 29-30, attempting to dissuade Juan Rico and Carl from enlisting. there was another Quote about having to come up with a job for someone Blind and one-handed, counting the fuzz on a caterpillar by tough..but if he demanded to serve he had to be allowed to. |

In to remind everyone that Bill Clinton who not only didn't serve but famously said he; "loathed the military". How many terms did he serve as POTUS?
FBHO's military record is so secret that it's almost like he didn't serve either. How many terms as POTUS for him? I'm not making the mistake again of thinking some communist nobody can't be POTUS. Burnie is promising to be the biggest .GOV Santa Claus ever and that rocks the vote of the kids, FSA, AND SENIORS. |

Four 2S college deferments, a couple of 1A classifications, and then a 1Y in 1968. A 1Y classification was a medical disqualification except in the circumstance of extreme emergency. In 1972 the 1Y classification was eliminated and all 1Ys were reclassified as 4F. We don't know how that 1Y/4F occurred since the medical records apparently no longer exist. |
