Look what I fished up yesterday. It was about 15-20 feet down...
It was brand new... Guy fell off on a sharp turn and it went right into the lake which is an old quarry. They said it was on the ledge of dropping down another 10 feet or so. |

Did something similar, but not as bad, once in my jeep. Bent the front driveshaft on the unforeseen ledge. I'd like to say I learned my lesson about scouting before entering mud, but that would be a lie. Sometimes wish I grew up in the digital camera age but its probably best I did not.

Never pull from the axle. At that angle they should have used a fulcrum.

A couple of weeks ago a pair of geniuses sailed their Accord into 40ft of water just up the lake from my parents house. The bridge has been out for months, there are at least a dozen signs and barriers leading up to the bridge that used to be there, none of that deterred these guys, they had a GPS and were determined to prove that not only are Honda's very reliable, but airworthy as well.
Not only are Honda's not airworthy, they are also not rated for submerged operation. They were on their way back to college, at 0330 on a Monday morning, having just left the home of a female friend. |
