Nice truck, passed one the other day.  I like the single cab look and simplicity, BUT

I think the reason GD thinks trucks are so expensive (they are) is because of the options that they want.  Crew cab is not a reg cab and most people need the extra room.

The F150 I priced recently was $44k and the only options I cared about were 4x4, crew cab, and ecoboost.

ETA: yeah that's not bad at all for a new 4x4!

How much would I be looking at for those kind of things? I'd like to at least put a decent exhaust on it sometime. Regardless, for now I am emboldened from driving an econobox

cool truck, now get some bumpers. The turds they put on trucks at the factory these days are ALL about cutting weight and improving aerodynamics. If you hit a Geo Metro at 15 mpg in that thing, you'll probably do $15k in damage, might even total it. With a real bumper, all you'll need is a couple kick 'zaps' of spray paint.

He would shit his fucking pants if he saw my old neighbor who used to haul a horse trailer with a large saddle/tack room with a Ford Crown Victoria.

Ford is a bit off lately, though - they were selling for about 2/3 of sticker price up until the new models came out, then a bunch of people wanted one.

Actual street price on them will go back down, and probably already has in some areas.

Had a 95 ram 1500, short bed 4x4 with the 360 v8 in it as my first truck.

Bad mistake. 3 transmissions later I sold it with 70k miles on it in 2004.

Had an f150 for a bit, too small for what I need. Now an f250.

If I was ever not going to go ford / diesel, I'd get a ram. As after looking at the new Chevy's I'd tear the DEF tank off in about 2-3 days tops. Bad engineering.

My 04 (Bought in 08 with 85K) is at 190K now, and other than tires and brakes has needed exactly 3 things...Front wheel bearings, and a new idler for the serpentine belt.... Runs like a raped Ape 5.7 Hemi FTW

Riight.  Its a wonder that mine has had no problems... Oh i bought a 100$ skid plate...
Id rather the tank there instead of like the ford where it cuts in to the fuel tank capacity.
