Mother's side migrated from Germany to the US in the mid-18th century. Father's side migrated here from England before that. I believe he has traced it to the late 17th century but we cannot nail it down.

I'm a true American. I'm a descendant of one of the first clans to inhabit North America. My ancestors came across the Bering Strait on an ice bridge from what is now called Siberia. Our folklore speaks to the fact that we Sasquatch were the first on this continent.

Canadian pretty much through and through.  The only ancestor I have ever heard of who was not Canadian was William Penn, and we had to go back almost 400 years to find him.

I have ancesters who came from Germany before the Revolution (several of these fought for independence).

I have other German ancesters (Prussian), who came over in the mid 1800s.

I have Southern ancesters who date to per-Revolution days (and who fought for independence), who are probably Scotts-Irish.

I also have English and Eastern European ancesters (the latter may be Hungarian, Czech, or Serb, or some combination . . .).

Well, as far as I can tell I've trace my ancestory back to the point that I am decended from some protozoa that developed in some mucky, slimey, pool of stagnent water in a place called pangea.

As far as I'm concerned my only affiliation is to the good ole US of A.
