I saw a mitchell arms import AK at my LSG they got on trade. Im by know means an AK specialist but I handled hundreds over seas. So I know a little. This one caught me because It had a POSP scope on it that did not look like a repo. Looked like the ones I saw over seas. It was in 308. Zastava. I know for sure it had some custom trigger package and custom butt stock, metal,  wood on the forgrip, but custom handgrip. Some custom muzzle break. Also the guy told me I could take the case and all 4 mags with me.

Weapon itself was perfect, not a scratch. Barrell was bright and appeared unfired. I could tell when I was looking at it that the owner wanted it as much as i did lol.

So ak guys/girls whats the value on something like this? I ask because Everything I researched on google is inconclusive.

Thanks

Mitchell Arms Yugo AKS are pre ban and usually worth quite a bit. Sounds like it is an M76 or M77? Would need much more detail to give a better valuation.

Edit: depending on the customization, the value could be hurt considerably.

I shoulda snapped pics. The customization was done tastefully

The stock is like this one, but instead wood on the front, then the muzzle break is similar.

Any value in the posp scope? Looked authentic. Not firefly, but made at a russian plant.

I got lucky before, I picked up a mosin here that looked different, brass rings, turned down bolt handle, authentic pu scope. I paid 250 for it. I ve been offered 600 for it hand turned it down.

The last bone stock M77 I saw for sale at a show 2 years  ago was in the $1800 range, similar condition as the one you describe. No scope and no extra mags.... which are very expensive and hard to find. Scope value is around $400 unless it is a russian POSP type, then value is $200. Each mag is between $75 to $100... So maybe that gives the package deal a value of around $2000 to $2500. YMMV of course but that what it goes for in my neck of the woods.

Could be post-ban. If it's pre-ban, model should say M-70; post will have an electropenciled "M-90" model number. AFAIK, none of the Mitchell RPKs (also available in .308) had scope mounts.

Rare gun, either way. Less than 1200 imported, pre- and post- combined.

biggest valuation question is whether or not M90 is electropenciled on the side of the receiver. the value of one with M90 will be 60-70% of what one is without. sometimes even half.
