https://www.yahoo.com/parenting/mom-of-8-year-old-gay-pride-marcher-responds-to-122869985727.html “He is old enough and smart enough to know he would be marching in the Pride parade in front of thousands of people and did it willingly,” she wrote. “In fact, I thought he would stop after 10 blocks of walking, but he felt so good about being dressed up and being who he is that he vogued and danced the entire two miles. We collaborated on the outfit and this is how he wanted to look today. This was his Pride today. He felt it. He loved it. He was it. These children will be our future. Embrace who they are. All they are asking for is the same love, respect, and acceptance of themselves as any child would.” Napoles tells Yahoo Parenting that she and her husband Andrew have been taking Desmond to watch the Pride March since he was 6 years old. “He loved to see the drag queens and the colorful costumes,” she says, admitting that she did have initial moments of discomfort, but got over them quickly. “I believe my son will be better off and more successful in the long-term being exposed to all of the diversity at Pride. He needs to know that there is more to life than what he experiences at home, at school, and in our neighborhood.” |

Great mom. Has her kid marching in a parade with adult public sex and nudity. Talk about sexualizing a child for the gratification of adults....

Times like these when I look at the people that raised me and just thank the lord that I had the upbringing I did.

Small town and boring as it was, I didn't get used by my parents for displays of social justice and solidarity that would warp my perspective of what is normal for the rest of my life. |

I'm wondering how long it will be until her son is raped?
Or has he already been raped? Will he think it was a rape? |

So it's a parade about sexuality
And they have an 8 year old attending? What on earth could an 8 year old possibly have to relate to in a parade about sexuality? |

So curious why this is not an issue...but free range kids are?

When the little fruitcake kills himself in a few years, because he's picked on and bullied in school, it will be everyone's fault but the parents.
Oh well. |

I feel sorry for that kid when his mother decides to use him on her next personal crusade - whatever that nightmare will be. |

He'll be a cutter by the time he is 13, making some therapist a bunch of money till he turns 18 and no one has to care any more.

Well, the really good news is that Google will ensure his photo of himself prancing around in a rainbow tutu will be accessible to all of the other guys when he finally goes to high school. I'm sure that little image won't cause him any grief at all. |
