Best line in the whole movie was when the flare went down the sounding tube.

Decon wouldn't be cost effect.

Why would they put a village in the surf zone?  Hurricane season would be interesting.

LOL gutting the interior to be a free standing roofed structure as depicted wouldn't be either.

Having been stationed on Aircraft Carriers for 5 years i can confidently say "those people don't have a clue of what they're talking about".

Who is going to grind all the rust off every few months?  Who is going to paint it every year?  Who is going to take care of the engines, power, lights? Food?
Do they imagine they are just going to bask on the superstructure all day and discuss Comparative Literature?

Other than messing up the chi and internal aura of the green space interior?  No, no they do not!

Do they supply gas monitors and SCBAs to the residents?
No way in hell I would trust some third world contractors to clear that vessel.

This is for warehousing the peasant class to clear them out of areas set aside for the intellectual elite.

I doubt these will be floating.
They will probably be sitting on sand.    The USS Lexington in Corpus Christi is not going anywhere.
The dug a trench, pulled it in, then let the sand fill back in.

Makes more sense to retrofit them as floating server farms tethered out to sea. At least that way they could still be profitable.

I keep thinking about this after reading the first posts.

These would make awesome section 8 housing.   Fill them up.  Make sure there are convenience stores, liquor stores etc. on board.

When they get too rowdy, tow out to sea and scuttle them.

I'm kidding of course.
