I live in the southwest and my Ac unit blew coolant all over itself tonight. My house is a round 1500 sq ft, 15 years old. I Need a 3 ton unit and I have a few contractors on their way tomorrow. How much is this gonna cost me?

Check with your power company. Tucson electric has incentives to help you get a better SEER rated unit. Lowest one you can get nowadays is a 13 SEER. TEP will help so you can get a 14 rated unit. Ours is on its way out so I feel your pain. Just need to make it thru at least this year and with any luck, next.

Roof or ground?

Split?

Full replacement?

I just purchased an extra ground unit for $1250. 5 ton ground unit for a split system.

I just had one of the new Cryogenic design units installed. Pulls down to -150C and uses very little power with the special 5 blend refrigerant.

Ground level, single story home. I believe it's r22. It was the original system that was put in when the house was built. A guy is looking at it now...
