Reuters) - Police responding to
race-related protests and riots in Ferguson, Missouri, last summer made a
series of missteps, including antagonizing crowds with attack dogs and
military-style tactics, according to a U.S. report obtained by the St.
Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Justice Department report is a summary of a longer report due
this week, and reviews the actions of the police departments in
Ferguson, St. Louis, and St. Louis County, along with the Missouri
Highway Patrol, the Post-Dispatch said.

All four agencies tried to quell the protests and riots
that broke out after a white Ferguson police officer shot and killed an
unarmed black teenager on Aug. 9.

A county grand jury declined to indict Officer Darren
Wilson for killing 18-year-old Michael Brown, and the Justice Department
also said no charges would be brought

Their real transgression was in taking any action at all against the protected class.

FEH and all the race-baiters.   There was no 'win' for controlling Fergidishu.

On the opposite end of the spectrum for riot response was Baltimore's "give them space to destroy" philosophy.

How did that work out?

I'm not saying they should have just let it burn because of some good people have businesses there but...

I'll call them out too, but not for the reasons THEY came up with.

They just needed more space to destroy.

Last time I checked every business owner made a conscious decision on the location of his business.  I wouldn't feel bad for one located on the rim of a volcano that burned. Not much difference in some places, IMO.

More upfront damage.

Shorter time frame once the locals decided they had enough of the wannabe thugs disgracing the entire community.

Baltimore riot response is the fed model, give the hordes space to destroy then come back and us taxpayer funds to clean it all up.

In reality, the mistake was to not apply more force up front. We live in upside down world.

Some people had businesses there before it became a zoo.
Are you saying white flight is what they should have done?

Either the risks are worth the reward or they aren't.  Skin color doesn't have anything to do with it.

A single woman caught on video beating her dumbass kid for being a dumbass does not constitute "had enough of the wannabe thugs".  The rioting stopped because the authorities gave them what they wanted - the heads of the police officers involved.  The professional race baiters chalked up a victory and went on to the next "racial incident", and the useful idiots went back to their usual useless existence.  But hey, it was for the "greater good" that the police were sacrificed.

IMO they did fuck up. They fucked up when they didnt start killing looters on sight. White brown blue or purple, looters should be shot on sight.

APCs and military style BDU's. Six shot grenade launchered tear gas. Ar-15's. GSDs.

Mostly stuff the fed gov sold or gave to local police departments.
